Hello Everyone,
After concerns raised by many people on this board, I spoke to my pdoc about raising prozac, instead of trying a selegiline/prozac combo. After 4 days of being off 15 mgs selegiline, I am now upping my dose of prozac to 60 mg.
I am fairly certain prozac increase will not help me; I am considering going off prozac and trying Stablon, which seems to have a safer side effect profile than selegiline, although selegiline may be better for cognitive functioning than stablon. Opinions, theories, thoughts anyone?

It definitely helped me for awhile , it is real mild and taking it 3x a day was really no problem for me at all. No sexual side effects, if anything it made things better in that department, eventually I think it started to irritate my anxiety ( although its supposed to help- maybe it was just me) . Anyway, I think its a benign drug and it sure can't hurt to give it a try, alot of people like it.

Stablon and selegeline are similar in some ways but not in others.
Both feel kinda dopaminergic, but Stablon is much less jittery for me.
I can feel a little anxious on it though.
Stablon actually makes me chatty, though perhaps not motivated.
If you are interested in this sort of thing you might like to remember rhodiola combined with selegeline/deprenyl.
Quite interesting, though not good for sleep.

Stablon is the only med I take regularly, after a dozens of antidepressant trials. For me it has no observable side-effects, which is a great relief. It slightly reduces my anxiety levels, and slightly boosts my mood.
Some people have some difficulty sleeping on it, and others with some sort of anxiety, but for some (like me) it is quite helpful without anything negative attached. I would recommend it as worth trying.
