Hi All,
I currently take Provigil 200mg every morning to counteract the sleepiness I have from all of my other meds (Remeron, Depakote, Lamictal, Wellbutrin). My question is: Do I have to take my Provigil every day for it to be effective, or can I take it on an as-needed basis? Some mornings I really don't need it so I just don't take it, but I don't know if that's a good idea or not, because some days I feel so excessively sleepy that I need all of the help that I can get.

> Thanks, everyone, for your input! =)It will be no less effective and possibly more if you only take it when you need to, however that being said I should also mention that I've found that it only works well if I take it before I actually get particularly run down.

What do you mean, Phillipa?
Why do you see no reason to take it on an "as needed" basis?
In other words: You think Provigil should be taken ALWAYS--everyday--even when the patient does NOT need it?
Is there an explanation for your thinking?
