A Thought On ENSAM

If EMSAM does not go through you're digestive tract yes I know it does the liver. But not the stomach so does this mean it's the first nonfattening ad every made? Just thought of this. Love Phillipa of couse I'm wacky but it makes sense to me.

EMSAM alone will certainly never make you fat, but giving in to the powerful (POWERFUL) carb cravings it causes its users to have will result in quite a bit of extra weight. And for the love of all that's decent NEVER EVER get started on dark chocolate while you're using EMSAM, or you'll be doomed to extra wide seating for the rest of your EMSAM days. I swear that stuff turns chocolate into crack!!! Don't do it!! Don't make the mistake I made and say I'll just try it this once!! You'll be finding yourself standing in line at Wal-Mart with 3 1/2 pound $1.26 Hershey bars in your hand on a daily basis. Hear me and heed my words. :-)

~~~ I'm thinking based on it being topically absorbed as opposed to GI absorption, probably is not going to effect drug properties when it comes to metabolism, appetite, satiety... etc. The difference is HOW it gets into the body, not what it's doing once it gets there. All the fat versus not stuff is a complex interplay with fair amount of that interplay's input guided in the brain.
In theory, the fact that perhaps lower dosing can be used (as the skin can be a good absorber for some meds) may have it's advantage as negative effects, in theory, may be diminished. That said, I still hold to the idea the brain is located at the top of the body for a reason. (Smile)
Lose your sense of taste and smell like I did three years ago I guarantee it's not a problem. But how I miss tasting things. Love Phillipa
