Phillipa I'm glad you are here and appreciate your posts. I think the comment was immature and rude, although I'm sure he thought he was being helpful. The more experiences you go through, the more you learn that you don't have the answers for everyone, it's impossible to know exactly what someone else is going through, and what works for one person is not the answer for someone else.
But what is common is that we all need support during these hard times, and I'd like to thank you for being here.

Everyone that is picking on Jan should leave her alone. She is a kind, sweet and very supportive person. She doesnt deserve this harsh treatment and has a right to be here.

I see a lot of good folks on this board and you are a staple with the way you are so quick to comfort and make others feel welcomed.There are so many kind, helpful people here that I fear the comments being made about PB being less that it used to be, changing and the like might become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Lets just press on and make it as we wish it to be. The good that is here far and away overwhelms any negativity.
It doen't take a minute for anyone to surmise that you are a beloved member of this board and it would not be the same without you.

Phillipa has a style that you will not appreciate unless you have been here awhile and understand her personality, as I now do. That understanding is something that I think we all have to have for one another since we are all struggling with issues of depression, insecurity, self consciousness and fitting into this world...some more than others. The way we say things online can be very different than what is meant. It's just the nature of this forum, it is not person to person communication. Nuances exist and complicate the way we are seen and heard by others. It is not a perfect way to be heard.
That is why we have to have some leeway in how we interpret others posts. The bottom line is Phillipa will be there for anyone on this board. She does not pick and choose who she posts to, she is fair and honest, but obviously she may not be what you expect in another poster. We're all unique and present a different perspective, all are welcomed. Over time, one persons style might bother you, so read another post and move on. I do it all the time.
Phillipa is a good person, she responds to all, this is her gift to the board. Thanks Phillipa, I understand where you are coming from 9 out of 10 times, so nobody's perfect, especially here!

Thank-you all your support means a lot to me. I've never found anywhere that is as supportive. No pdocs or family doctors etc. So being unique is a sort of gift I think. And we all have our own personality. I think I reacted to a poor person I e-mail with from this site that has had too many things dumped on her plate at the same time and I related to that. I love you all. Love Phillipa ps sorry two got a warning I just have a relationship with them off the board. And they were protecting me in their own way.

Now I'm going to answer your question, for all time: It doesn't even matter if anyone wanted you to leave -- you have a right to be here, no matter what. You certainly haven't abdicated that right through non-compliance with the civility rules -- I don't think you've ever had a PBC, have you? You know you have friends here.
And I'm pretty sure you're aware that taking MAOIs is not a requisite for being on this board, right?
So, bookmark this post, Jan, and refer back to it if you ever feel as though someone wants you to leave Babble, OK? Save yourself the trouble of feeling bad again, 'K?
By the way, I do think a real life face to face support group would ALSO be good for you, if you could find one, just because I think face time is good for all of us. I doubt that the suggestion was meant in any malicious manner, and I'm very sorry that it led to bad feelings. My guess is that it was a misunderstanding. I know that the support groups I've been to have been very helpful for me, and I recommend them strongly to everyone here.
