I am still trying to figure out what the difference will be between triple uptake inhibitors and cocaine?

Great for younger babblers but too late for me. I will have to make do with anything that works for me and if that means become some sort of addict so be it. Love Phillipa Lar at work again

They are a few years away ... but even more for Canada I am sure. :(

I'm wary of any reuptake inhibitor drug after the 3-4 years of my life that I lost because of Effexor. YMMV of course

Thanks for this information. I noticed that when they did the trial with the triple reuptake drugs and Citalopram they didn't note any superior response with the triple reuptake drugs compared to the Citalopram. Does this mean they are no more effective than SSRIs?

I'm sorry to be a Negative Nelly but I just have to say that there seems to be precious little inovation
in terms of drug development :(

I really doubt triple Re-uptake inhibitors are going to make much difference to anything.

I wish I'd waited a few more years before becoming seriously Mental Ill!

P.S.
Denise how are you doing?

I agree. There is little reason for people with depression in Canada to have much hope if they fail SSRI's.

We will get some of these drugs in Canada about the time....., well lets not even go there.

how about CRF1 antagonists, NK receptor antagonists,
Glutamate acting drugs, Anti-glucocorticoid agents and cAMP signal transduction ?

With a negative outlook, which selectivity picks out the negavive and ignores everything else people are bound to never get better.

Sorry I WAS being a bit negative!

I was really just talking about Triple-inhibitors
There are some very promising drugs in development.

I just hope at least a few of them reach us!
Im partly still bitter about Agomelatines refusal :(

I know depressives pick on the negative and blow it out of preportion, I hope thats what I'm doing!

I would personally like to see tripple uptake inhibitors come to the market.

It is true that another SSRI would be redundant, but a TRI would be usefull.

There are people, for instance, who respdon to combinations of SSRI's and say Wellbutrin. A TRI might be usefull in this case.

Also, since I was a good responder to SJW, which is a TRI, I would be interested in trying a synthetic equivilant.
