It is Official! On Thursday March 15th I had the device implanted. I am in some minor post-surgery pain (nothing the right pain med does'nt cover) everything went well. NO complications ....Now I await two weeks for the outer body to start to heal(actually the body is healing now) then I see my Pdoc on March 29th for him to turn it on, program the VNS device, Then the hopefullness of eventual relief and more complete remission from this beast of an illness begins. Renewed hope has begun!

Congrats are in order. I look forward to hearing about your experiences with the implant. Many of us are in your shoes with exhausting all of the medications and hope your decision results in a successful outcome. We will be following your progress.

Me too Phillipa!
I can feel it only if I touch it. It is right under my left breast bone and hardly noticable!I already notice the surgery pain subsiding from Thursday. I get it activated on March 29th!
I can't wait; but guess I have no choice to wait!
