Monte...Do you still take Lyrica?

Posted by rina on March 13, 2007, at 23:12:38

Monte, my pdoc bumped my lyrica up to 200mg three times a day and I just wanted to get some feed back from you as to your experience with it.

Alright! You are now at a high enough dose to fight off depression. I love Lyrica, especially high dose. The problem i had with it is that i developed tolerance to the high dose, so after about 5 mos. it no longer worked against my depression. I do still take it however, i take 300 mgs. for diabetic neuropathy (nerve pain in my legs), it works great for this. I plan to use it again in the future if needed for depression.

How are you feeling on it?

I'm noticing a huge difference with the high dosage but there is a slight off balance feeling with it. I feel as if I'm in a cloud for a minute but it is very calming and definitely curtails my depression noticably. I'm not tired but very relaxed and it actually lifts my mood in a very positive way. I'm happy with it. You just don't know how grateful I am for your advice. Thanks a million.

Glad to be able to help a little. Lyrica is without a doubt one of the best meds i have taken in 25 yrs. with this illness. It made me very pro social, at 600 mgs. Feel free to contact me with any questions, etc. :)
