I've been on 75mg/day of my Lamictal trial. Using 25mg pills, 3x a day. Today I upped it to 4x a day. Now I'm nauseous. I haven't had really any side effects so far from Lamictal. No headache, etc. Has anyone else gotten nauseated on a higher dose of Lamictal? Thanks!

Were you given a starter pack as I wonder why you're splitting four times a day. But that nothing to do the nausea. I got up to 50mg of lamictal no side effects until I developed excess salivation which wouldn't go away all I did was spit. disgusting for a woman so I had to go off the med. But no nausea. I used to get awful nausea from lamictal! I think that is one of its possible side effects.

I had horrible nausea with each increase of lamictal but it no longer exist ...just takes a little time.

> I can agree with your comment concerning lamictal. I've been on it for about 2years. My Pdoc just increased the dosage to stabilize my mood. It doesn't seem to make a difference and studies have shown that an increase of more that 300 doesn't have a better/worse effect.

>I just went up to 50 mgs of Lamictal about a week ago. (I'm on the one month trial pack where they slowly increase your dosage...), and when I first upped my dosage from 25 mgs to 50 mgs, I had serious nausea, stomach cramping, and (sorry fellas) an extremely painful menstral period..
Normally my period is no problem.I have been on 50 mgs for about a week, and the nausea has subsided.
