Nardil help with only certain types of anxiety?SLS

Posted by UgottaHaveHope on January 10, 2007, at 0:34:36

Scott (or anyone else), since you are taking Nardil, I thought I would ask you about this. One of my docs said that Nardil does help with anxiety, but not "free-floating" anxiety. More like Social Anxiety and stuff like that. Does anyone know that to be true, or are all things possible?

Well luckly if anxiety is left over, rather than a anti depressant effect, youll have more options to tweak you nardil with the doc in regards to anxiety,i.e various benzos, and mood stablizers which simply qwell anxiety.

Nardil,is tuff when your not getting the stumulant AD effect that some people want, then you have to be real careful in what you add to try and move it along.

Nardil works for GAD and panic attacks, too. I witnessed the efficacy of Nardil with these disorders on my sister. It worked wonders.

Hi,

well I don't suffer from social anxiety or anxiety that is related to anything specific.

My anxiety was and is more of a general anxiety, waking up with it in the morning and feeling weakened by it a night. A sort of constant nawing anxiety that would escalate into a sort of blind panic where I would just want to keep walking and walking and walking, trying to walk away from myself and my own feelings.

I must say that the Nardil definately seems to help with this. I still feel uneasy and sort of depressed but the anxiety isn't as bad. At times I even feel too easy come easy go. I feel like I have a sense of humour about the way things are instead of feeling tragic about them.

I must say so far that I prefer the way I felt when I was on Seroxat and it was working as I felt more like me and ultimately I want to get back to that place again. But at least I know Nardil makes life more bearable.

Is the anxiety you feel a "free-floating fear"? Is it like walking through a haunted house and knowing you are going to get scared, but not when or where? Or is it like a fire alarm is going off in your brain and you dont know why and where it is coming from?

That is the type of anxiety that I am affected by. It gives me hope that Nardil helped with your anxiety bec I think I may be tried on Nardil next (currently taking Ensam patch). If you dont mind, email me at sportscarvell@yahoo.com

I'm a little confused about your anxiety states.

I have it all the time ... so that would be, I believe, 'free floating'.

I have it EXACERBATED in social situations. Like going into Cold Stone creamery and trying to pick three toppings out of fifty (Damn it ... I'll never go back!), or approaching a table of 'already acquainted or inebriated folks' or 'going in for an interview'.

I have 'panic attacks' ... the worst sort of anxiety physically, brought about by nothing. (Well unless I go into a whole dissection of my thoughts at that time and blah blah blah.)

Only time I've not been anxious 'today, FriJan12' was when I awakened, 'B4 I remember what happened to my life'.

To Scott: I did not have anxiety or social anxiety as a child.

So, wonder re: Nardil and Provigil (I know I'm off-subject posting here and should be posting down there. Pls forgive ... P appt tday and ..
