I am trying to find some psych articles related to medication on the web. Other than medscape, where is a good place to go?

Hi,
I think the best in my opinion is pubmed.com..... goto an academic library at a university near and u can get full access to pubmed.com... it has all the available scientific literature...

i think by far the best, other than a research database like pubmed, is biopsychiatry.com. Just go to the bottom of the home page and click on "Search" to search for whatever drug-- although just searching with google/ect. will often show a bipsychiatry page early on too.

Academic journals while fascinating for the literati (not trying to be condescending) are unbelievably expensive even for libraries, sometimes two to three times the cost of the PDR. That which is already insane at this point considering it is half filled with FDA required provided advertising basically that largely can be found at Drugs@FDA or a new drug in the US at ThisIsANewDrug.com (humour).....
Occasionaly though you can luck on a pearl of information with carefully constructed keywords on what I think currently is the best search engine, Google. Remembering though, that what you find should conform to HON (health on the net) or some similar standards of peer-reviewed or academic accuracy. There are scam, profit sites, and a plethora of ambulance chasers that try to put themselves at the top of the engine only confusing the user.

Not a place I spend a lot of time, but some interesting stuff.http://www.psychiatrictimes.com/dis-pharm.html
Some good stuff here.I'm just going to go on with some links, without the commentary, since a lot of these I haven't been to in a while:
http://www.behavenet.com
http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/
http://essentialpsychopharmacology.com/index.htmlThen, for just finding out more about individual drugs, I usually go to http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginformation.html first, then to http://www.rxlist.com/ for more in depth information. And, I use SLS's page pretty often, too. http://sl.schofield3.home.att.net/medicine/psychiatric_drugs_chart.html
Hope that helps. If I get any sort of, you know, motivation later, and don't use it for something silly like homework, I'll try to get my bookmarks into some semblence of order and send those to you...

No kidding? D*mn, i love that chart. SLS (Scott right?) if you're reading, good job! But uh, would you mind if i sent you an abstract or two with some suggestions for minor changes once in awhile??
god that's really presumptous of me isn't it. Sorry. i mean, only if you totally don't mind one iota-- of course.(Presumptuous? That's not the right word to be used there! Is it? What is happening to me?)
