I can only speak for myself when I say that the "new" Nardil is far and away the most effective medication I have taken. Aside from my attentional problems, it is more help than I could have even conceived of before I tried it.

If the "old" one was really that much better, wow.
The reality is I do not think there is that much of a difference for most folks. I did best at 1mg/kg, which has always been the recommended therapeutic dose.

The New Nardil came out in the Fall of 2003, and although it is NOT as effective as the old Nardil it is still better than many other drugs out there. My brother started the new nardil after my coaxing (having taken it successfully myself for 20 years)--although it is not as good as it was he says it is better than all the SSRI's that he had tried before. Ticks me off that he never got a chance to try the old Nardil! And that I feel less than what I was on it over the years. Just tried Parnate and failed so back to Nardil, which is now my BTN of choice,
BTN=Better Than Nothing Plus MORE
Check out the NPAC http://www.stratguitar.com/nmember/nardil.php site for more info, thousands of users have felt the change, some unaware why?? as Pfizer told no one that they changed the formula of the med.

I respect your position on Nardil,and im glad youre doing well on it,no one can argue that there are people doing well and i hope no on would want to.

Im also sure the points u raise about how it technicaly can not be much different are probuably true,i say this cause honestly i dont know enough about chemical structure to debate,and assume u do.

However the one comment i will make is this,i know u disclaim a lot of the NEW NARDIL woes,but that website,the one about the reformulation,it isnt just one or two people there,instead there are many VETERAN users who used the med for over 20 years,you also have people like urself who seem very in tune with chemical know how and explain there theory of the difference.

I dont know,with the amount of users over there,assuming its in the hundreds can you really hold doubt that they do not find it effective as they did the older one?

Just as upset you would be if someone applied it DID NOT work for you,id imagine there frustation at people within the company and outside who claim its the same.

I feel its just too many people,on it too long to spark such concern,and i have to believe there was a difference and a significant one.

Id also be just as happy to know i personaly was not one of the ones caught in that trap as u seem to be,and be grateful it works.

I just think this is one of those times we dont need to apply scieance,we have x amount of users who have no reason to complain,veteran users literally going off the drug,all in all id say it was simply enough reason to seriously look into re fromulating it,even though i know this is not gonna happen.
