Hi there, not a problem. :-)
Up until a month ago, my regimen was pretty complicated -- according to my last post here on PB in August, I was on:
Prozac 40mg
Xanax 4mg four times daily
Klonopin 2mg twice daily
Desoxyn 15mg four times daily
Seconal 200mg, Tuinal two capsules, or Alurate 280mg as needed for sleep
Xyrem 2.5 grams four times daily
Dexalone 30mg three times daily
NADH 20mg twice daily
DL-phenylalanine 2,000mg three times daily
Chelated calcium/magnesium
Phenibut (varying dosages)
Fish oils
Multivitamin, multimineral, antioxidant, and sublingual B-vitaminsWhew. I've knocked several of the prescription pharmaceuticals off the list since then, and made some other changes. Today, I'm holding steady at:
Xanax 4mg four times daily
Desoxyn 5mg four times daily
Dexedrine Spansule 30mg in the A.M. and 15mg in the P.M.
Xyrem 1.5 grams four times daily, then 3.5 grams before bed for sleep
Dexalone 30mg twice daily
NADH 20mg twice daily
L-tyrosine (freeform amino acid powder) 3 grams twice daily, between meals, along with 500mg vitamin C and 25mg sublingual coenzymated B-6 (P-5-P)
Chelated calcium/magnesium
Fish oils
Multivitamin, multimineral and antioxidant supplements
Sublingual coenzymated B-vitamin complex
Primadophilus bifidus probiotic complex (for irritable bowel syndrome -- been on it two weeks so far, and I'm astounded with the results)Any questions in particular, feel free to ask!

Beaumont, TX -- we were all over the national news a few weeks ago, when Hurricane Rita wrought havoc on the area known around here as the Golden Triangle, which includes Beaumont, Orange, and Port Arthur. :-(

Psychiatrists around here (and I say this pretty much solely based on what I read others say on here about their own luck with pdocs) seem to be unusually generous with controlled drugs, as well as unusually lenient and forgiving to those who abuse prescription drugs. So for me, it's always been just a matter of opening up the yellow pages and calling up every adult psychiatrist, asking if they accept Medicaid, then making an appointment. My current pdoc, however, was referred to me by my PCP, who was appalled at all the failed drug trials I had been put through only to have ended up worse off than before.

Maybe I should move to Texas. Matt's pdoc gives him some pretty high does of certain meds too. And he's from Texas too. Not sure where. But I know it's not along the Coast. Hope you didn't experience extensive losses. Fondly, Phillipa

Maybe it's true -- everything is bigger in Texas, including med doses! lol
We only experienced pretty minor damage... some seepage in the laundry room, some siding blown off, our air vent blown off, our carport mangled, one tree that fell in our backyard and broke our fence, and another tree that fell onto our neighbors' carport. I feel bad for them... they just bought that home, and three trees in total landed on it, rendering it uninhabitable. So compared to many people in Southeast Texas, I'd say we were pretty damn lucky.

TUINAL AND ALURATE! those are omg, what do they feel like?I take Dexedrine 30mg and Klonopin 6mg, and Temazepam 30mg at night. Usally i take 3mg with 30mg of temazepam. And i thought that was to the limit. ROLF!

How does your doctor let you have two barbiturates and two benzodiazepines, and Desoxyn? my goodness you sound like elvis presley and all his prescriptions.

Why did you doctor prescribe Alurate, I thought that was barbiturate that was used in dental clinic's back in the 60's for sedation.

Was this over time? definly not in 6 months, mmgod, i didnt know someone who takes, that many controlled substances. How did you do this?

This kind of whatever that was i saw, usally someone with a severe disorders. How can you have Desoxyn, klonopin, xanax, tuinal, and alurate. Do you take them through the day, or at night, the sedatives.
I have always wondered what Tuinal felt like.
I used to take Ativan [Lorazepam] 6mg daily, but it didnt help.
I usally know how to tell a doctor my symptoms, direct, eloraborate, and worried. Explain alot in depth.

Yeah, that's the typical reaction when I tell anyone about my current treatment plan, lol.

I don't have much to compare the effects to... perhaps a few Valium and Soma chased with half a bottle of red wine? lol It's quite easy to fight off the sleep-inducing effects in my opinion, actually. And if you make it through that first hour without passing out, you're all warm, "melty", and fuzzy inside for a few hours.

For one thing, my psychiatrist, therapist, and GP all know I'm quite savvy when it comes to psychopharmacology. And of course, my pdoc had all my medical records from prior doctors that I personally requested be released to him so he could see the extent and debilitating nature of my dillema.

I don't get Tuinal anymore -- it's not available commercially unless you get the prescription compounded, which always takes about a day for them to do around here. And when I actually do go through the trouble of getting a script from my pdoc for sleeping pills, it's because I need them *IMMEDIATELY*. Now I go back and forth between Seconal and Alurate -- both of which I have near-full bottles of 100 capsules each, and I *very* rarely need them now that I take a larger dose of Xyrem before bed.

It was at my suggestion, upon reaching my frustration threshold with getting that damn compounded secobarbital/amobarbital filled.

It's a lengthy, boring story... but feel free to search the archives. I've been posting here since sometime in mid '03, and I've been very diligently seeking treatment since right after I turned 18; I'll be 23 in January.

Since being on my current med cocktail, I've actually even quit drinking (sober four weeks now, to the day, if you consider liberal dosing of benzos and amphetamines throughout the day to be "sober", lol). I never really disclosed it on PB before now, but I've always had a problem with alcohol. Until four weeks ago today, I was an every day -- without exception -- drinker. I don't mean a few beers after dinner; I'm talking a fifth of cheap rum at 10:00 AM. But I just don't desire the stuff anymore -- could it be that I'm finally "well"??

lmfao, you *must* be either manic or in a state of complete shock at the drugs I take.

Once, *maybe* twice monthly, I'll take 200mg Seconal or somewhere in the realm of 320-360mg Alurate if even Xyrem fails to knock me out. I no longer take Klonopin, though I *still* am so thankful for every day I had it there to keep me going.

My doctor insisted on trying it a couple years back, although I tried to get it through to him that I'd experimented with the stuff when I was (even) younger, with no benzo tolerance, and three of the 2mg tabs at once would do nothing for me whatsoever. I'm sure they were the real thing, as I sort of snuck them from my stepdad's bottle.....

I still take the Dexalone to prevent amphetamine tolerance, of course, and I've got a very well-thought-out plan of supplements, diet, and exercise that I've been following strictly. No bumps in the road so far (knock on wood!!). :-)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Amphetamine tolerance?? How does this come about? I was put on 20 mg of adderall 2 x's a day for appetite suppresant,and to give me a little more energy and I have mild daytime sleepiness. I keep thinking this is my way to finally lose some weight. I would hate to built up a tolerance. I can however still take it and sleep, is this normal? I was on 10mg 2x's a day with no real change that I saw. Also tried Provigil and it just made my brain a bit more awake for only a short time.

-Xyrem 10mgs dalyas well as strong narcotics including Fentanal, for depression,
as well as a host of med boosting suppliments.
boy what i would give for a Seconal 100mg cap (red bullets) at times!!
