Preventing drowsiness and sleepiness

Posted by SadDoggie on January 18, 2006, at 8:32:01

I'm taking clonazepam and it makes me fall asleep a lot of the time. I tried halfing the dose but it doesn't help with the anxiety when I do that, I have to take a full pill (1mg). Does anyone know what I can do to combat the drowsiness and sleepiness?

Have you tried 3/4 of a tablet?

It has up to a 16 hour half life but can be less for some, that's why it's usually taken twice daily, and your body will accustom to the peaks and valleys of dosing (e.g. 0.5mg morning and night).

Its also subtle. It lacks the immediacy and gratification of Xanax or Ativan but that means its easier to taper off of it.
