I just had my 6th B-12 injection and have noticed NOTHING... Nadda... the only thing that seems to be happening is I have a sore bumm.
Other than that, nothing has changed- no more energy, no less aches/pains. *sigh*
I've been reading as much as I can on Fibromyalgia and I think since I am also still depressed and anxious, I might try it.
Some people have found relief from the fibro and depression- that would be a dream come true.
My only concern is my response to Lexapro and that this one will be similar. I don't know that I would survive another episode like that.
I know they work differently but IF.. IF..IF.. I am possibly bipolar, would this medicine also wig me out?
Also, someone mentions opening up the capsules and taking pellets instead of the whole pill. How many do you start with?

Spriggy read my thread below . I took cymbalta up to 60mg last year and no side effects except the aches and pains I didn't know I had came back when I stopped it. And I tried low dose lexapro 5mg and wigged out! Fondly, Phillipa ps do we always have to do the same things at the same time or have the same problems? Ha Ha

Hi Spriggy
My Doctor started me on 30mg of Cymbalta but I wanted to slowly increase my dose, so I opened up a 30mg and split the little pellets (and they are very tiny) into two piles and took 15mg for a week to get my body adjusted.
Best wishes on Cymbalta- I just went to 60mg today and am really putting a lot of hope on this drug for my anxiety.

did you know there's some research that links FMS to ADD? And some ppl find relief in ADD meds. Some ppl also find relief taking Enada NADH, which is avail. at health food stores, if you try it, just make sure you get the Menuco brand. The others aren't any good. Just a thought.

NO.. never heard that connection before but I did take a quiz once that said I was ADD.
I think it was on psych central. I'll go retake it to see if it changed. ROFL
That's interesting though- that there would be a connection between the two.

I hear these stories of opening capsules of Cymbalta -- but the pulsules are not necessarily regular, and they were made for extended release in general. Speaking of Cymbalta, I'm not taking that size at the moment, but talking about irregularity, has anyone noticed that the green in the 20s varies like 1 in 4 or so are lime instead of dark. Odd.
I'm at 90 (60+30) of Cymbalta and I'm beginnning to think that recent change may have some effect on my mood in general. But I dont know a lot about fibromyalgia and Cymbalta I'm afraid, sorry.

I know what you mean about the B12 shot. I had one a week ago and it might as well have been a placebo. I didn't feel anything from it.
I have experimented with cymbalta by dumping out the beads in a capsule. No way to know where to start. I started at 8 beads the first day, moved up to 20 beads over 3 days. I didn't stay with it though...cymbalta and effexor both scare me so bad in terms of withdrawals if things don't work out.
It did however bring tremendous immediate depression relief in about 6 hours after dosing. I keep it onhand for emergencies while I try other tamer natural things. Recent trials were with lexapro and then zoloft, both disappointing. Cymbalta though, at least to me, has some real punch to it.

I don't understand how everytone seems to have sided effects and withdrawal effects form cymabalta. I did not feel anything either going on it or off it. Will probably start Tuesday again since I'm out of town.Fondly,Phillipa
