I've been on it for 6 days. I've been getting horrible/debilitating headaches that last most of the day. Second, I have no appetite. Sometimes I'll feel hungry, but no motivation to eat. Face is already thinning out.
Do i give this 2 weeks?
ps I have tried lexapro, and did nothing for me

i was on celexa 20mg and i actually liked it but it made me gain alot of weight so i stopped. but i never had headaches or no appetite. i would suggest telling your doc and maybe he can change you to something else

I was on celexa for over a year. I would suggest sticking it out for at least two weeks, even four weeks. This will give it chance to kick in properly. I think I lost my apetite too in the first few weeks, and felt dizzy and nausous. These pass. I gained about 20lbs on it and gave me great apathy and fatigue, but it did work as an AD.

Celexa was definitely my downfall. It made me so tired and anxious I couldn't function at all. I stayed on it for a month and the side effects only got worse. I've let to find an AD that helps me. I've tried most of them. No MAOI's yet and don't thinks I ever will take them. Since my primary dx in severe anxiety. So far benzos work the best for me. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi Meri,
It's good to see you.When you were on Celexa, how many milligrams did you take? Did you experience weight gain regardless of the dose? One of my doctors told me that weight gain caused by SSRI's is independent of dosage, but that doesn't seem to apply to all people.
I'm interested to know how you're doing otherwise. I remember you got off of Reboxetine and were thinking of trying Wellbutrin.
