Posted by rjlockhart98 on August 9, 2005, at 22:41:57

i go throught day after day, thinking that i am insane.

I dont know what to say. I hate what has happened to me. I hate the way i am.

I really just have peace by having a peace of steel at my head.

Matt, what can you do with feelings like this? All I can suggest is that you try to pay the same sort of attention to what's in your head that a loving and attentive mother would pay to her child. Which means that when you hate what you have become you practice care and concern for that feeling as well, and like all feelings, and everything else, it too will pass.

I wish I could answer your question, I wish I knew why I struggle as well with my mind. it's so hard to understand "why", I think it can be soo many things;physical conditions, emotional abuses, lack of being nurtured, traumatic experiences, heredity, etc..

I do know and believe you can get better Matt. Don't give up hope about that.

I think when I feel my worst is when I give all hope that I will be better.

So above all else, keep hope.

I am so sorry you are struggling right now..

Hi, this is Mike. Is that a persistant thought that you have? that you are insane. Do you constantly worry about it. It sounds like you might have OCD. My brother persistantly worried that he was going crazy and thought he had schizophrenia. He has OCD. One thing you should know. A person that is going insane is never anxious about going insane. I hope you feel better. Help on the way.

Best wishes,
Mike

I often wonder the same about myself.

I blame part of it on our pop culture telling us that were all supposed to be shiney happy people rather than being real.

I think we all need more support for just being ourselves. There's a lot a great thinkers who were were considered insane by the mainstream
(Martin Luther, Einstein, Lincoln had severe depression) ...just off the top of my head.

warm regards ~Jake
