I think you said you took this antidepressant while you were in Japan. I hear it's quite similar to mirtazapine (Remeron). Was that your experience?

Hi EDYes, I tried it while on Prozac.It is very similar to Mianserin & Mirtazapine .
It " enhanced" Prozac's effect from the first dose and felt much better ( more anxiety reduction,better sleep and increase in appetite and food tastes great!), exactly like when I added Mirtazapine to Effexor , but all those effects (except appetite) diminshed quickly so in both cases I stopped before gaining too much weight.
Mianserin ( the parent of both medications) is also the same but has less sedation.Regards,

Really, mianserin was less sedating than mirtazapine? What dose of mianserin did you try?

Mianserin 30mg and I believe equals to Mirtazapine 30mg.
