It's Time To Have Some Fun!

Posted by Phillipa on June 19, 2005, at 21:11:31

We are always so serious of PBabble meds and of course we have a reason to be. Meds that don't work, meds that poop out, meds that cause horrible side effects, etc. But let's take a minute to try and have some fun. What's the funniest thing you ever did while on a medication. Remember this is only a one time deal. And I'm not trying to take away the seriousness of this Board. But laughter is the best medicine so they say. So has anything you might consider funny ever happened to you while on a med? Fondly, Phillipa

I went to a staff meeting and kept slurring because I wasn't used to the ativan yet. It was great! (I didn't take more than I was supposed to)

OK that doesn't sound great-but it wasn't that bad-if you knew the people I worked with you'd realize how hilarious that was

Adderall made me f*rt in a library , but everyone kept working....... my eyes were so big, i kept switching tables, one of the assistants would glare at me with this look.

I went to the bathroom and stayed there for a while......

I loved that movie with Jack Nicholson playing a reclusive person with major OCD-- and him trying to get to his psychiatrist's office without stepping on any cracks in the sidewalk.. cursing all along the way.

I'm relatively new (less than 3 weeks) to 30mg Parnate and am barely sleeping and having some low blood pressure problems (not the funny part!). So, I was throwing some trash in the dumpster and threw my keys in, too. Then, I got really dizzy after peering into the dumpster to look for the keys and had to sit on the ground in my parking lot. A man walked by and I asked for help. He looked in, didn't see the keys, and I started to pass out and said "excuse me, I'm dizzy and need to sit down." At that point, he proved that chivalry is alive and well by walking away! I then jumped into the dumpster (still dizzy!) and banged my hand against the wall so hard I almost broke it, BUT I did find my keys and am now VERY careful when taking out the trash!

Hey, that was good. (nm)

When I was on paxil..I decided to go and sit in my car at work during a break. And for some reason decided to listen to my daughters CD, at the time it was destiny's child and I had it so loud that people came out of the building to my car...I was so embaressed. I know they all thought i was crazy, because before starting the paxil I was so quite no one knew I was even working there....

Ah, the joy of staff meetings. When I first started taking trycyclic Ads I fell asleep during a staff meeting presided over by a Psychiatrist. He took umbrage and awakened me by asking me if I was bored. I answered, "Frankly yes." He asked me if I'd prefer to leave. "Frankly yes." I go t up from my chair and left the meeting. Some of my friends still goof on me...especially since I'd "forgotten" the incident. I was on unusually good behavior because there have been times when I've been put on a spot, that I become enraged. Too much like family life when I was a kid. cockeyed.

When I was new to Ambien I took it and was still up when it kicked in. Happened to be in the bathroom and decided I needed a haircut and proceeded to snip away.

It looked like crap and I am a hairstylist! It was weird-it's like you are well...hypnotized. They didn't label the drug a hypnotic for nothing!
If I take a notion to do anything on ambien it's as good as done. Very suggestable.

I have also talked back to the people on the radio. It seemed as though they were sitting in my room with me. My husband thought I had finally snapped! After the last incident with the Ho Ho's I take it in bed, lights out!!

Peace,
Kaye
