I've never had any digestive problems on Lex. Sorry I can't be of help!

I don't know about lexapro being constipating but I take magnesium each night. Think of milk of magnesia. Fondly, Phillipa

I find Celexa constipating and it's very similar to Lexapro. SSRIs can cause diarrhea but they can also cause constipation!

I've not noted this problem either, but Mag I would think could certainly help the problem.

extremely constipating. in my case, other unbearable, actually scary GI SEs.

magnesium may work, esp. 'natural calm' - a powder that makes a fizzy drink.

thanks. i remember reading years ago here that a couple magnesiums a day do the trick. considering i am eating mostly fruit and veggies, i shudder to think what a steak or a bowl of rice would do to me!
