Has anyone tried Ativan for social phobia/anxiety or maybe it was even pro-social ? I've tried Valium,Xanax,Klonopin and few other benzos which only helped VERY little. So my question is about Ativan.

Ativan worked well for me at one time, but so did xanax, and valium. I didn't like klonopin. Fondly, Phillipa

I think it would be hopeless....more amnesia than with diazepam. I probably took too much. It makes it too hard remembering peoples names and following the thread, and that really effects the sociability thing.

Ativan for me seemed to inhibit social actions. I just wanted to sit and stare, but still figit here and there becuase thats me. Ativan just makes me stare, but i have paradox reactions to it.
Klonopin made me feel "free" to discuss anything with anyone. I didnt feel inhibited in that sense. I felt like relaxing but talking.
I have not taken Xanax, but i hear it works for SA.
Best to you
Matt
