Effexor with Remeron, a good combo

Posted by The Resistance on May 2, 2005, at 4:36:20

Hey everyone

One just thought I'd let the people of babbleland know that I am having some succsess on a combo of Effexor at 225mgs and Remeron/Mirtazapine at 30mgs.

Last week I felt dreadful, anxious and depressed, I had to struggle to get out of bed.

I added 30mgs of Mirtazapine to my 225mgs of Effexor and next day I felt like a new man.
Its only been five days so far, but at least I'm still in remission.

Hello Risistance!

Good to hear your feeling better with that combo mate! : )

I took Mirtazepine a while back and found it to be very different from all other anti-depressants and the best being it has no sexual side effects.

Kind Regards

Nick

The combination of remeron and effexor has been dubbed "california rocket fuel"

I may be very stimulating due to the double noradrenic effect.

This combination can be powerful, but I've heard that its not good for people with anger problems.

you should definitelly change your nickname!Mirtazapine is the only drug I missed to try before getting on MAOI. Has the anxiety totally gone? Does it work also on drive?

Hey everyone

Unfortunatly the combination is not energising for me.

The first day I felt quite stimulated, similar to how I felt when I increased my Effexor dose.
Unfortunatly it soon wore off, now it feels neither sedating or stimulating.

So in answer to your question it doesn't work on drive.
Thats still a big problem for me, I'm trying to think of ways to get around it, perhapse I'll add Reboxitine or something, you can't get stimulents in the UK.

I feel quite calm on this combo, although it hasn't improved social anxiety as much as I would like.

Does "The Resistance" sound to agressive? What do people think?

I kind of take your name to mean that your resistant to meds. What do you mean by it? And I almost got excited reading about your drug combo until you got to the negative. I still have a whole Rx for remeron. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi,
"The Resistance" sounds very fine for me. I was kidding that the nick is no longer valid as you are not resistant now.
