Saw my pdoc today. Actually told her about PBabble and what all of you have said about lunesta. She actually agreed and said all the same things you have been saying. Said she was out of samples when I said I wanted to try it and told her how expensive you have said it is so she gave me vouchers good for four 3mg tabs of lunesta. Just give it to the pharmacy and the pills are free. That way I can try it. Forgot to mention the bitter taste. Fondly, Phillipa

Taste is bad, but it gets better. I still like ambien better, but I have to conserve those pills. The insurance company has a fit if I try to refill it too soon.

I haven't gotten it yet. I'm kind of afraid to. I'm afraid it won't work. The drug info sheet from the manufacturer used doses up to 6mg. The funny thing is there were more side effects at 2mg than 3mg except for the taste. The voucher says you can only use one per pt. That means 2 pills and script for 4 pills. If I like it it means $35 for a phone call for a script for more. What a scam! It also said it was okay to take lorazapam with it but didn't mention valium. I will check with our small local Rx and see if they even have it. They usually have to order things and I don't know if they will for such a small amt. Fondly, Phillipa

Guess what? I take lorazepam with it...sometimes the Lunesta alone just isn't effective enough. I've had to take 6 mg before (of the Lunesta).

Weird. I've read in almost every post of those taking Lunesta that they get a really bad taste in their mouths. I have yet to experience this - even at 6mg......??
