Hi!

I have heard of people taking 25mg. You could use the trazodone syrup to measure out a small dose.

Hi ed!

Trazodone has for me at 50mg definitive antidepressive action but it cause some racing thoughts (impaired concentration). Anyway this drug is outstanding/strange. I could perhaps use 25mg for some antidepressive action, pro libido effects with low dosage clonazepam. But i dont know if I should rather use the bupropion instead (but it is said that bupropion could cause nervousness). I dont like to much noradrenaline transmission. I have no experience with bupropion (wellbutrin xl)

Hi!

>I could perhaps use 25mg for some antidepressive action

I think that's a good idea. Perhaps you could open a 50mg capsule and divide the contents in half. What do you think?

I think I will try the low clonazepam/trazodone combo, before i have read some more information about bupropion, which i am absolutely not experienced. Bupropion sounds to be an alternative to trazodone (it is similar but it is said that it increase noradrenaline transmission and i dont like that)

Thanks for your advices

Hi ed!

One more question:

Do the 25mg trazodone users mostly take it as an augment to combat sexualsideeffects or sleep problems or do they use it as an antidepressive alone? And with which drugs is trazodone mostly mixed?

beauty sleep and bye all

-aahhh i am so tired i must go to bed-

I think people usually take 25mg for sleep problems.

>And with which drugs is trazodone mostly mixed?

People combine trazodone with lots of different drugs.

Sleep Well!

The trazadone I tried years ago was a white long pill. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi P!

Really? I think the 50mg comes as capsules here.

I use 25mg trazedone at bedtime. It gets me to sleep, although if I take it too late at night I'm still comatose in the morning and am very groggy. I consider it a sleep aid. My psychiatrist tells me it is an anti-depressant "booster rocket" for my effexor and wellbutrin. I used to take doxepin, which helped me sleep but didn't booster-rocket me.

I have to say, though, after 3 or 4 years on the trazedone I'm getting sick of the hangover. My doc thinks I'm taking 50mg at night, but I split my little round white pill in half...

I'm a non-compliant patient, I guess!

Hi! I used to take Trazadone many years ago and really liked it. I played around with the dosage to see what the smallest amount was that I could take and have it still be effective as an antidepressant. For me 50mg was the smallest effective dose.

I'm surprised that you still have a hangover after so many years of taking it. For me, and other people I've read about, the hangover goes away after a few weeks as your body adjusts.

Personally, I think it would be a good idea to be honest with your doc about exactly what you're taking and why. That way you can work together to find the best treatment for you.

Wishing you all the best
