Posted by scatterbrained on March 23, 2005, at 0:39:32

I've been reading some stuff about biofeedback and was wondering if anybody has had good experience with it improving depression induced cognitive problems(or any other problem) .Thanks

I had it, and it might have had promise. But the psychologist in charge rubbed me the wrong way and I quit.

I wish there was more than one biofeedback institute in the city.

I'd be curious about this, too. Have you searched over on the Alternative or Psychology boards?

My oldest son is autistic ( almost 10 years old, OUCH, it hurts to type that), and I have looked into biofeedback for him.

Our insurance wouldn't cover it and I would've had to ride a ferry and drive 3 hours each way to have it for him, so it just wasn't feasible for us.

But I have read great results with autistic patients so I would imagine it could also help with depression.
