MAOI update: any new news or meds?

Posted by musil on March 19, 2005, at 12:55:39

I am curious about the current state of MAOI medicine approved by the FDA. I tried Parnate in the past, noticed a stimulant and mood increase, but became obsessed about the food situation. Now, I know that work was being done on MAOIs that weren't (pardon me, I forgot the word) /reversable/ and that some MAOIs available in Europe aren't as restrictive with diet, and are more reversable if that is the right word. A pointer to a URL or a brief update would be appreciated on the state of MAOIs available in the USA.

Emsam(transdermal selegiline) should be on the market this year.
