switching from Parnate to Nardil (note to Maxime)

Posted by ixus on March 13, 2005, at 7:22:58

Hi all,
have you ever switched from Parnate to Nardil? I have noticed problems with lowering the Parnate dosage from 40 to 20 (vivid dreams).
Now I'm thinking how to switch from Parnate to Nardil without harmful effects.

Maxime: Don't you think that your problems with Nardil might have been caused by no washout period, which means no withdrawal period as well (especially that the dosage of Parnate was very high in your case)?

Actually yes I do. My pdoc said it was fine to go ahead without a washout, but he certainly doesn't know everything. I just wrote in another post that I might try it again since it has been a long time since I had an AD in my system. It's worth a shot. I think I will take 15 mg tonight and see how it goes.

I will keep you posted.
