ok this is gonna sound weird but here it goes, what will taking xxx ativan do to a person? a friend did and shes in the hospital, it didnt kill her but i dont see how and im sure it is gonna cause problems with her organs atleast i would think. we are pretty sure she took that many she had just got her 3 mo refill and they were all gone when we found her. please help

I'm very sorry to hear of your friend's condition. I think only those medical folks caring for her would possibly be able to answer the questions you have.

Wow, I am very sorry.I do however, have a hard time believing she could've possibly downed that many pills without dying. My mother attempted suicide by taking 12 ativan and was in a coma.
So the dose you described seems almost impossible to survive but I guess there are always miracles. If it wasn't her time, God must've kept her here for a purpose.

A good question is how long after she took the pills was she found by you and tx begun? If it was not long, and they pumped her stomach, her chances are good that she will probably be okay. Of course individuals all react differently to medications. I've never heard of a person being given a 3 month supply of meds though. What country is she in? I also hope she is all right. i know thats why i am so amazed that she is still with us, she is in and out of a coma but with any luck she will pull through, i really dont know why she did this she was doing so well. thankj you fopr your support

i have no idea how long it was, i am only a friend so they wont tell me much, but we live in the good old usa where her insurnce just stated this thing any med u take on a regular day to day u have to order from a co that give u 3 mo, i think its very stupid but if she wants her meds thats the only way they will help pay for them. thank you all so very much

I am so sorry i was just so besides myself i did not think before wirting that, beind a friend the doc will not help and tell u very much, and i have always found this site to be so wonderful. i am truly sorry, i hope i will not be banned or anything for that stupid mistake i promise in the future i will be more careful!!! i love it here and would never want to do anything to harm anyone.

I am so sorry!! Do you know the dose she took...1mg, .5mg? How old is she? although whether its a half of what you said or not it is still ALOT of pills. All I can say and it may not help much but our bodies are amazing things, we can put them through so much and suprisingly be ok. I understand how you feeling it is agonizing to wait with no control or real info. IMO, I believe there is a good possibility she could be in a coma for a little while and then come to, likely with some damage but then there is also the possibililty she may not. I think it will help you if you consider both outcomes, as hard as it is. It was alot to take. Lets hope she wants to pull though and will find her way out. My thoughts are with you

well she is not doing very well at all, they also found bllod pressure med in her system, she is still in a coma and they are not sure if she is going to make it or not.
