Can Seroquel make you mean?

Posted by MTNDOG on February 5, 2005, at 17:03:53

Hi Everyone- I just wished from trazodone to 25 mg of seroquel for sleep (the trazodone made me feel really sick at the dose I needed to sleep). This is in addition to 60 mg of Celexa, 150 mg Wellbutrin and 3 mg of klonopin. Last night was my 5th night taking it and so far it's been great. I've been getting the sleep I need and was in a pretty good mood all last week...until last night.

My husband said something that just totally set me off and I just "blew up" at him (not yelling- I don't yell) and got very dramatic and told him I couldn't take it anymore. I wasn't even sure what I meant by that. But it was very unlike me. We've been together for 7 years and I am usually able to talk to him about things that are bothering me without becoming a drama queen.

There's more to the story- I also just got my period (PMS is always an issue), I'm recovering from a back/neck injury from skiing so I can't ski this winter which is something I love to do, and this weekend would have been my mom's 71st birthday. She passed away April 8th almost two years ago after a very quick (5 month) fight with stomach cancer. God- the more I write this out, the more I'm beginning to doubt it was the medicine with all these factors combined. But what was weird was that it just came out of me so suddenly.

Anyway, we talked today and I do feel better but I just woke up from a nap and I had what I refer to as the "black hole" feeling which I haven't had in ages- I used to have it as a child before I even knew what depression was. It's like you're all alone in the world and lonely and scared. I don't know what to make of all this. Maybe you guys can help me figure it out objectively (ha!). Thanks, Mountain Dog

I know for a fact klonopin is known to cause this. Wellbutrin can also trigger this.

Seroquel made me feel irritable. This seems to be unusual, though.
