Klonopin Buspar

Posted by Amykat on January 3, 2005, at 16:06:56

Ihave been on Klonopin and Buspar for anxiety for about a month. I was on Zoloft before the Buspar and took myself to the hospital for having sucidal thoughts. I have never ever felt this weird in my life. What's wrong with me?? I don't think the Buspar has taken effect fully. The Klonopin has helped tremendously but I don't feel "NORMAL." I don't know if this has anything to do with me getting married 3 mos ago or what, but I can't take it anymore. I don't feel like myself.

Hey:
Sorry things seem so bad for you right now.
I have tried Buspar too, and found that it didn't help my anxiety at all.
Stick with it for a while longer, because it might take a few more weeks to "kick-in" for you, though.
Klonopin worked wonders for my anxiety. I'm glad it's helping you too.
I do think that getting married recently might have contributed to raising your stress level and therefore your anxiety and other mood problems.
We also sometimes get a delayed reaction to stressful events in life. Has anything else happened in the past year or so? Was the wedding itself a big stressor?
Certainly living with someone else can be a big adjustment.
Is there someone you can talk to about all this? Can your doctor refer you to a therapist, maybe?
Good luck.
Jas
