OMG vivarint helps! Must find place that sells!

Posted by adam canada on December 20, 2004, at 17:01:27

WOWWW. For once i been taking a little more than half a pill and it feels nice! I am exciteable. More talkative. I laugh more easily. More motivated. And higher sex drive.

Currently I been taking paxil 5mg (very sensitive to meds and 10mg would put me to sleep all the time most of the day sleepy and drowsy.

Now that I added the vivarint again it's impressive.

I have been told that the only place to still sell vivarint or vivalan or viloxazine is France! I been having trouble finding an online pharmacy that still sells it. Maybe I will get lucky :(. I been on 15+ meds and paxil plus vivarint have been the only few things to work for my sebvere depression and dysmythia.

Where can I find it? Pls pls help me. Wow today feels such a welcome change from the past month it is really encouraging. I dont have any left anymore though! THAT was my last pill.

I dont want to go backt o feeling like garbage :(.

Hello Mr. Canada!

I'm so happy to hear you sounding optimistic!!

You are right, Vivalan is available in France. It is manufactured by AstraZeneca. The brand name Vivarint is no longer available.

I don't know if it will help but here are the details for AstraZeneca (France).....

AstraZeneca, Fr.
AstraZeneca
1 place Renault
92844 Rueil-Malmaison cdx
France
Telephone: +33 (0) 1 41294000
Fax: +33 (0) 1 41294001
Online: http://www.astrazeneca.fr

Why don't you ask your pharmacy if they can order Vivalan for you???

If you can't get hold of viloxazine then you could always try reboxetine instead. Reboxetine is chemically and pharmacologically similar to viloxazine. Reboxetine should be much easier to acquire than viloxazine- it has several trade names including.... Edronax, Vestra, Prolift, Solvex, Davedax, Irenor and Norebox. Have a look for it on the internet!

Good Luck,
Ed.

I've never heard anything about this drug. Some quick research shows me it's a moderate NE uptake blocker and NE potentiator, a weak 5-HT uptake blocker but potentiates 5-HT functions. Then it's also a weak inhibitor of both MAO-A and MAO-B. Sounds interesting... I wonder how it would work at high dosages.

Please remember not to use this site to exchange information that could be used to import into the US medication that hasn't been approved by the FDA:

Follow-ups regarding these issues should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration. Thanks,

Wow this medication sounds really exciting!
I wish they hadn't discontinued it in the UK, bloody country.

I don't mean to take issue with Ed but I would be wary about trying Reboxitine, in some ways it sounds just the opposit of Viloxazine, for example Reboxitine frequently causes sexual disfunction.
Maybe you could get a doctor to order it from abroad?

I've tried both drugs, and, I do not think they are identical in their effects even though theoratically they both affect NA inhibition.
Viloxazine was free of side effects except hand tremor and gave me some hyperactivity but not anti depressant effect
Reboxetine,as I said before,is really a dreaded drug (for me) it gave me severe constipation and urinary difficulties (physical) and what is worse SEVERE depression..I think if I stayed on this medication for longer I'm sure I would have ended up in a grave
After trying so many NEs and 5hts (SSRis),I found out that even though they might appear scientifically identical in their main action, their minor actions and chemical formations can play major role in their overall effects...
Just my own experience..

Regards,
Adam

It's very interesting how this seems to be the case.
