Can anyone tell me RItalin's effects--do you feel the full effects and benefit the first day, after the first dose of two? Or do its full effects buikd over a period of days?

People who have ADD/HD generally feel much affect after the first few doses. It does not take nearly as long as an AD to notice if it will be beneficial or not.

Yeah, I think it is pretty much right away with the first dose that you should feel the Ritalin working. There is no buildup of Ritalin that needs to take place or anything like that like in the case of antidepressants. Think of the effect of Ritalin as similar to that of coffee in that the first time you drink coffee you feel the pep, it doesn't take several days of drinking to work.

Hiya, I was wondering if anyone here could tell me, what is Ritalin? Is it a stimulant? And how does that help with the disorder ADD or ADHD? How does it make you feel?

Ritalin is a moderate stimulant used in the treatment of attentiond deficit disorder.
By stimulating and increasing the patients usually short attention span, the drugs seem to quell hyperaticitvy. By increasing concentration, they reduce distractability, and are hence effective in treating ADD.
In people with no symptoms of ADD, they can sometimes increase concentration further, but more often lead to anxiety.
