Zoloft not doing much yet

Posted by pablo1 on November 23, 2004, at 18:14:22

I've been taking 50mg generic zoloft for about three weeks & I thought this was really powerful stuff but I don't really feel a whole lot except sort of queasy in the AM after taking it and very slight calming overall. I had bad luck with effexor, it worked on me immediately as a pretty powerful sedative removing my emotions but zoloft is the opposite. Effexor messed with my sleep too & made me wake up in the middle of the night soaked in sweat repeatedly. I have just begun to get a bit of this effect though that could be due to this Phenibut supplement I just started (actually it's not a mild supplement but a powerful GABA activating drug similar to Neurontin or GHB). I've also started this zoloft treatment with 10mg ritalin twice daily & 1mg knonopin in the morning. I've been using the phenibut to replace the knonopin which seems to work.

Hi Pablo,
50 MG is a little low for some people, that's probably why it isn't working. My son takes 75 MG. 50 didn't do anything for him so it got increased to 100 MG. That was too strong and can cause a real high for some folks. We cut back to 75 and it has worked that way almost 2 years. It takes a month or so to really take full effect. Hang in there.
