I need a price on generic Klonopi, lost insurance!

Posted by owenus32 on November 21, 2004, at 12:52:00

I am on 20 mg a day Lexapro and 1 mg a day generic klonopin. I lost my job on Thursday and today I got a letter telling me they stopped my COBRA covergae because I didn't send my bill in on time, but I was at the post office on the first and i got it post marked! I HAVE to know how much generic klonpin costs. I pray I get unemployment on Monday but i'll find out if I qualify then. IU also hope my Pdoc will write me a RX without charging me bc they said my insurance ended on 11/01.

Sorry for your problems. Pharmacies are usually good in giving a price quote, so calling around is an option.

I typically use the Walgreen's website to at least get an idea of the cost of drugs I am interested in; although, if this issue is critical, you can ask them exactly how much it's going to be because there is often a little variation from their website prices. Hopefully, this gives you the info you are looking for:

http://www.walgreens.com/library/finddrug/druginfo.jhtml?particularDrug=Clonazepam

In case the link doesn't work, the price was 60 x 1 mg for $33.99. The price for 2 mg pills (which you might be able to cut in half to save money) was 60 for $55.99. Of course, you don't have to get this many; you can get a prescription for however many you want.

You can go to walgreens.com and get a price quote if you go to the pharmacy section of the web-page or call the pharmacist directly. Call around for prices.

I believe the generic clonazepam is about 50cents(in the U.S) a pill. If you are taking just one Miligram a day its cheaper to get the 1mgs pills and divide it if you take 1/2mg twice a day.... rather than the 1/2mgs tabs and taking twice as many. Pill cutting almost always is 1/3-1/2 cheaper. Trust me, I have been in your situation many times!

Okay, listen up and listen tight.
You go to this site:
http://www.pharmacyreward.com/

Download a free copy of their discount card. Anybody can.

Take it to Osco/Savon OR CVS.

Get generic clonazapam by TEVA (which they carry).

Present your card, there may be some delay while they call to verify they take it (they DO!)

Get 60 2mg clonazepam for about $10 or less.

Go home happy.

(I've been doing this for months now. I have NO Rx insurance.)

I just did a quick check on pillbot.com (there are other drug price comparison sites you can find with a search). It led me to familymeds.com which had the following prices for generic clonazepam:

0.5 MG
30 tablets $6.87
90 tablets $15.87
1 MG
30 tablets $6.87
90 tablets $15.87
2 MG
30 tablets $9.87
90 tablets $22.87
