Zoloft (@ 50 mg./day).
I would say Celexa comes in 2nd from my past experiences.
For me, Effexor XR and Wellbutrin both exacerbated anxiety.

Paxil worked great for me when I was on it. It even helped me overcome interview anxiety and the anxiety I used to experience when I had to speak in a meeting. I am still trying to find something that will work as well for me as Paxil did (since it didn't work when I tried it again a couple of years after going off it).

I recommend either Paxil, Luvox or Remeron. Remeron is strongest, but can give weight gain. But very good.

While it worked, zoloft at 150mgs was a godsend...Paxil at 30 helped a whole lot, too. unfortunately, both of these stopped working after a while...it happens.

My best would have to be Celexa.

Celexa has been the best out of Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil, Luvox, Wellbutrin SR, Effexor XR, Anafranil, Serzone, and Remeron.

I hear zoloft was awful if you had anxiety. I'm trying it & not noticing bad side effects.

comments?

Zoloft gets my vote, although I can only compare it with Prozac, Wellbutrin, and now Cymbalta. I'm actually thinking of going back on it as I'm still on the fence about Cymbalta (60mg/day at 7 weeks).

But the biggest difference for me, by far, was giving up alcohol and going into recovery.

Amitriptyline is good, but it's very hard to take at full AD doseages. I am using some Amitrip & some Effexor.

Cheers,
Paul.
