dopaminergic + 5-ht1a agonism

I think a very good antidepressant would combine a dopaminergic plus potent 5-ht1a agonism.

What about combining:

Wellbutrin or selegiline
+
Buspar or Geodon or Abilify

Just thinking (or not thinking) out loud...

Some interesting combination I have thought of would be the following.

1. RU-486 followed by BDNF injections.

2. Buspar + Selegeline + Xanax (to replicate kava)

3. Buspar + Pindolol (post synaptic agonism +
presynaptic antagonism)

4. Buspar + Mirapex + Adrafanil
(5-ht agonist) (da-agonist) (NE-agonist)

Oh if Only I was the one who wrote the perscriptions.............(I might be in a
lot worse shape than what I'm in now !!!!)

Wait, Adrafanil is an NE agonist, that's its primary action??

It seems to cause a release of glutamate.

Some propose this is related to noradrenic agonistic properties.

"Most adrafinil-induced effects (increase in locomotor activity, reduction of immobility duration in the forced swimming test) may correspond to a central alpha 1-adrenergic stimulation"
