Well I started Risperidone 1mg nocte....
I was stupid-- i listened to doctors!!!
Never my the fact that I had been on Zyprexa 2.5 10 months, they advised switching straight away. Within 4 days on Risperidone (due to Zyprexa w/drawal) I waas crying all the time, ready to pull out of uni, and insomnia.
Now, wouldn't it have been wise to start me on 0.5 Risperidone whilst tapering off Zyprexa
ie
Day 1.- Zyprexa 2.5, Risperisone 0.5
Day 2. No Zyprexa, Risperidone 0.5
Day 3. Zyprexa 2.5, Risperidone 0.5
and so on, until the spaces between each Zyprexa dose got larger and larger and I was remaining stable???

Xanax 2(BTW, thanks God, after 2 days back on Zyprexa I am starting to live again, in a week or so I will begin the Zyprexa/Risperidone cross taper again)

Some times you have to be your own doctor. Others the doctor knows best. I fully understand zyprexa withdraw and know cuting pills is best.

Anyone who has suffered freom mental illness and has been to more than one p-doc for help should realize by now the following truths:
1. Doctors are only human. They are not omnicient and generally only know the treatment theory that they were taught in medical school.
2. In order to benefit from a transtheoretical understanding of mental illness and treatment, you pretty much have to be your own advocate. You yourself know your symptoms and response to medication best, and should therefore do everything you can to educate yourself on the pertinent topics. Fortunately, with the current state of the internet, you can do this in a matter of hours in the comfort of your own home. No advice is better than personal experience, and that is why boards such as this one are so invaluable.

good point. no doubt it does a great job....eliminates 70% OCD. BUT i want 100% relief and too loose the weight

take both? Try wellbutrin sr, for the weight.
