Ok, um, what do you have?

Straterra was first tried as an antidepressant, and failed. It's an ADD med.

Cymbalta's for people who have bipolar mania, since you need to combine an antidepressant with an antipsychotic to avoid inducing mania in these patients through the use of an antidepressant alone. It's Zyprexa and Prozac combined.

If you have bipolar, you already take so many meds, I can't see the benefit to reducing two meds into one since you already have to take so many already. Plus, if you get the two separately, you save money-- Prozac itself is generic!

Thank you for the information. I have ADD so I guess Strattera is something I might try. I sure don't see many positive reviews on it though.

Thanks Again,
Lynne

Uhhhh.. Utopizen, Cymbalta - duloxetine - is a new AD and has nothing to do with either Zyprexa or Prozac, as it is a multiple reuptake inhibitor. You are thinking of Symbyax, which combines olanzapine and fluoxetine.

Be more careful with your info; there's tons of postings about Cymbalta on this board.
