As most know I am trying to regain some of my cognition (attention span greatly shortened by zoloft) without inducing panic that most stimulants do. I have found that nicotine gum, 1mg 4/xday helps my cognition without causing panic.

What sorts of dangers do I face when using this ??

Nicotine is very addictive as I'm sure you know. Other than that, it's probably not the most healthy way to go. Nicotine has some negative effects on health as well with respect to blood thinkness, cholesterol, among other things.

It will quit working nearly as well once you're addicted. Have you tried strattera?

At that dose, probably not that much. Bigger doses for many many years could cause heart problems. In the short run: hightened blood pressure. But once again at that dose, not much problem.
