Just wondering what people thought about using aricept to help with lithium cognitive problems??

Hi Squiggles,

I have severe cognitive problems on lithium (1200 mg) for 0.43 plasma level... I am severely confused, I cannot follow my lectures in class (Im a med student, oh the irony)... I can't even orient myself when im driving.. I tried T3 to no avail

Instead of adding another drug (not sure what
Aricept is or why it would help), have discussed
lowering the lithium dose, with your dr.?
I would try that first. 900mg is also
therapeutic.

I have a similar problem. I am unable to concentrate for very long during meetings or even conversations. I am hopefully going to be going to dental school so we're in a similar boat. I say give aricept a try and keep me posted. Messing with lithium levels isn't the best of things to do, especially if you're in school and okay despite the fog.
