I'm looking for an effective substitute for risperdal. It seems to be helping with emotional stability and overall calming (at 1.5mg daily), but seems to have a small side effect of weight gain. I'm thinking Lamictal (anxiety side effect?), lithium, or more recently Abilify? What are your opinions on these...Since I deal with social anxiety, I am thinking of steering clear of Lamictal...Lithium sounds like an idea but I need to get bloodwork done and can't get around to it, and I don't know anything about Abilify. Would lithium or Ablify have any effect on my anxiety? I already take Neurontin for this and it seems to help , but am considering upping the dose on that as well. Thanks for the input.
