Does anyone live near Mobile, AL or Gulf shores?

Posted by captain on September 1, 2004, at 14:45:30

I need help! I am supposed to leave for vacation tomorrow and am FREAKING THE HELL OUT over going. I am meeting up all my college girlfriends and now this hurricane is really really scaring me. I have major meetings for work the following week, so in addition to fearing my life, I also need to be at these meetings!

Does anyone live near there that has any real idea about hurricane frances and what they are saying about hitting gulf shores, AL?

My friends know what an over the top worry wart I am and don't want to let my fear keep me from having a good time and most importantly, ruining theirs.

I hope you guys can help!

Dr. Bob - please don't remove this - these are my friends I know and I need advice!

Sorry, but your friends can just click over to Psycho-Social-Babble, too. Here's a link:

Captain,

You may have already left for your vacation but I wanted to tell you this. If you feel a need to keep up with the PB postings re meds and stuff while you're on vacation, or to access your doctor by e-mail, you can do it at the Orange Beach Public Library. There is free, unlimited internet access at the library.

Also, if you have a wireless equipped laptop you can access the internet 24/7 via our wireless network. Even when the library is closed you can sit in the front parking lot or on the front or back terrace (view of the water) and use your laptop to keep in touch.

For an anxious person, this can be a real help.

As an aside, you can also get a vacationer's library card and check out videos and DVDs (and books, (on anxiety/depression?)of course) for two weeks for free.

Have a great trip.

Marsha
