FIRST I WANT TO TELL ALL, I MISSED MY AFTERNOON DOSE OF NEFAZODONE THE OTHER DAY, AND WOW !!! I AM NOT CRAZY, I HAVE BEEN ON THIS DRUG FOR 7 YEARS, 200MG DAILY SO BY MISSING THE 2ND DOSE I JIPPED MYSELF 100MG. I FIGURED IT OUT, CAUSE ABOUT 4 HOURS AFTER I WAS TO TAKE THE 2ND DOSE, I GOT MENTALLY FLAT AND FELT OUT OF IT, JUST COMPLETELY FLAT IT IS HARD TO EXPLAIN, I FELT LIKE I WASN'T HERE, WENT AND CHECKED MY PILL BOX, AND SURE THING I MISSED IT. SINCE IT WAS SO LONG AFTER I WAS TO TAKE IT, I DECEIDED TO NOT TAKE IT, JUST RESUME REGULAR DOSING NEXT DAY. THAT NIGHT I DIDN'T FALL ASLEEP AS USUSAL, AND WHEN I DID 5 HOURS PAST MY REGULAR BED TIME, ALL I HAD WAS WAKING VIVID NIGHTMARES. NEXT MORNING I FELT LIKE MY LEGS WERE WOBBLY, AND LIKE I WAS LOSING MY SANITY. IT IS SLOWLY WEARING OFF NOW CAUSE OF TAKING REGULAR DOSE, BUT MAN AM I UPSET. LORD HELP ME SHOULD I EVER GET STRANDED SOMEWHERE WITHOUT MY MED, I AM AFRAID COLD TURKEY WOULD HONESTLY KILL ME, OR CAUSE ME TO DO SOMETHING STUPID TO MYSELF - THIS IS A NASTY DRUG, IT HELPS ME BUT I WANT OFF IT COMFORTABLY AND CAN'T WAIT TO TALK TO MY DOCTOR. I DON'T CARE IF IT TAKE 2 YEARS. THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY IS NOT AWARE OF WHAT A TRUE MONSTER SERZONE/NEFAZODONE IS IN REGARDS TO ADDICTION AND 100% DEPENDENCY. -----> DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY MAKE LIQUID SERZONE/NEFAZODONE TO HELP GET PEOPLE OFF OF THIS SLOWLY WITH PRECISE MEASUREMENTS RATHER THAN ME FILING IT ? I WAS DOWN TO 180MG A DAY AFTER 30 DAYS AND DIDN'T FEEL GREAT, BUT I FELT MORE WORSE FROM MISSING A SINGLE 100MG TABLET FOR 1 DAY. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE ARE OPTIONS HERE FOR MEASURING IT PRECEISLY WHEN CUTTING IT DOWN LOW.

Have you tried Trazodone? It's pretty similar to Nefazodone & probably a lot easier to get off becuase it has a longer half life.
Also, could you go easy on the CAPITAL LETTERS, it really hurts my eyes & makes your message hard to read. :)

Have you tried cutting the pills? Most pills can be cut. some times they act faster, or different. Read the drug info, do they say don't cut on the bottle, or the sheet with it?

Sebastian, I will tell you this I take 200mg a day for 7 years 100X 2 Daily. 3 years ago I went cut 2nd afternoon dose in 1/2 I took 150mg for 5 days and felt like I was going to die an agaonizing death, no lie. Doctor at time told me it was "MIND TRICKS" to him I say BULLCRAP !!! I could not turn my eyes by day #5 and my left leg was becoming completely unattached feeling to my body, an ODD and scary sensation. The vision was jumpy and felt as though my eyes were jumping in the pupils a FRIGHTNING and scary sensation at the time. I resumed reg dose and in 48 hours I was fine. So I knew it was the drug. I did research and learned of Withdrawal people were suffering, and discontinuation symptoms from reducing to quick which I did, or quitting cold turkey. So I knew that is what I was experiencing from coming down to fast. The Pharmacist just chuckled and said "OH you weren't dying you were just coming down to fast for you, you need to go slower" he was the ONLY one that seemed to believe me. Anyhow recently I cut down filing afternoon dose about 5 mg for a week, then 10 then 20 I was down about 20mg to 180 and doing ok over a month, but STILL had some stiffness in my neck and shoulders, and wrists and legs, and was sleeping a little less, but still felt rested. The tremory feeling scared me up to 200mg a day, I chickened out cause people kept telling me to do it under a DOCTORS care. Which I will next time. I still felt alot better than the 50mg a day reduction, so LOW and SLOW is what I need, even if it take 1 year to 2 years. THE BIGGEST AND BEST RESULT OF MY REDUCTION FOR 1 MONTH WAS ----> : ) FINALLY !!! After 7 NUMB years, I had a DESIRE for sex with my spouse, I was thinking about it, not like the pre depression, pre Serzone days, but ENOUGH to make me REALLY Notice. I was looking at the opposite sex more in a manly way, not a perverted way, guys you know what I mean, my LIBIDO was breaking through, I was also Ejaculating harder and with more force, waking up with morning wood ; ) Sorry if I am being gross, I do not mean to be, I am just excited to know that my libido is still in there, they say Serzone/Nefazodone is easy on the Libido, NOT FOR ME !!! - I just Discovered that the 200mg a day is TRULY Making me HYPO SEXUAL DESIRE sufferer. As I resumed it, I feel more relaxed but positively NO libido again it is horrible. So I ask if there is liquid, so I can have my Doctors guidance and approval. This is my GAME PLAN ........ I will tell Doc of my 1 moth Experiment and how the Benefit was my libido started to break through. So I want to ask if he can lower me down to about 190 or 180 a day instead of 200, that way I can still have enough to get some help with Clin Depression and PTSD that got me on it 7 years ago, but might help me crave my wife again, by the way she is not ugly LOL. I am just meaning a desire is what I want. Sound like a reasonable goal that can be achieved under a Doctors watchful eye ? Also Sebastian, 3 days ago, I missed my afternoon 100mg tablet for the whole day, and I felt like crap, vivid BIZARRE nightmares, some noticable insomnia, feeling detached from whats going on around also. I mean this stuff to me, after missing a whole dose sounds about as bad as an Effexor user missing a dose one day. SERZONE/NEFAZODONE has a short half life, I can't believe they are not aware of the crap you feel when you miss a whole dose. Thank you Sebastian for your replies.

Truly, I understand the missing a dose. I've been taking zyprexa for 6+ years. If I miss a dose, if its late, I feel all out of wack. I tried reducing a bunch of times, before I was able to successfully reduce 1/4. I cut the pills in 1/8ths, trying to reduce. You still notice. I'm now looking at a long time on this drug. I've got a feeling I will be on the 7.5 mg dose for atleast 3 more years. I've spent the last 1 year, trying to reduce. Was up and down: 3.75 mg-10 mg. Averaged about 7.5. Thats not all I've tried reductions many times over the last 2 years. The first times were the hardest. I hadn't missed a dose of 10 mg for atleast 3 years straight, before that. My biggest fear is that they will ban zyprexa, and I will go into major shock. Thats why I want to get off it. Not to mention, pills suck.
Hope you find a liquid, but if you can't just cut the pills precisely.
