Wellbutrin is muchly weak in treating ADHD

Posted by 1980Monroe on July 13, 2004, at 19:44:59

Lazy drug

I went throught a trial with it for ADHD, it has "NO" reienforcing effects. I still was very disorganized and just work inhibited. Adderall does an effective job in organizing, and motivation.

Wellbutrin does have "some" good effects, but there not with attention well.

I usally feel better about myself sometimes, and i am more Ambitious in succeding with my brother later in his law practice. Its a more Superficial feeling comapred to adderall, but its just an antidepressant. When i was training for Track in high school, i had a more ambitious feeling to train for the 1600m, and 800m, with jogging but it adderall of course was much more intense becuase its just a stimulant. One VERY good side effect is it doesnt have the ZOMBIE effect like Ritilin, thank god.

Ritilin was more effective but that ZOMBIE side effect was HORRIBLE! Same to focalin.

Oh well, i want to hear more experiences from ther people with wellbutrin. Lets something going.

Be Back.

Matt

I'm on 450mg for ADD, and I can attest to the fact that it's been useful to me. I'm sure it's nowhere near the efect of amphetamines, but it's also more even, without a late-day crash.
Mainly, it makes me feel awake and clear-headed. Before I started on it, I had gotten to the point that I was so fuzzy headed I had to occasionally stop and think about where I was and what I was doing (whuh?). Sort of like after taking a few cold pills. The WB blew the fog off my brain, which allowed me to string more than 2 thoughts together, an important ability.

I am glad it works for you, it does give me clear headed ness is agree with you, but office work........ still is very terrible, same as if i was without medication. I also take 450mg of Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin makes me irrtible sometimes.

Still find the Remote in the refrigerator, yesterday i found my Cell phone in the freezer. But thats my own bad, but i admit when i take dexedrine, this type of behavior is muchly improved.

Very glad, and i hope you stay on it.

Cheers

Matt
