hello there, chemist here.....in my opinion, you should reintroduce the klonopin *now* at 0.25 mg day and stay there for a week, and then try to go off. obviously the taper was too fast and hence the unpleasantness......all the best, chemist

You might try .375 mgs per night - .25 and .125 for 2 weeks then dose to .25 mgs for 2 weeks and .125 mgs for 2 weeks continuing then to .125 mgs every other night for about 1 week to off. If you notice unbearable anxiety synptoms after a dose down, just go back to the dose you decreased from. Low dose use of a benzo is just as important to taper down on as higher dosing if you want to avoid problems. The above was my taper schedule and it worked fine for me. You will need a good pill spliter. Realize the initial start up on some SSRI's can cause some anxiety symptoms. Some find continuing with the Klonopin (or whatever benzo) until that side effect calms down is a better time to begin a taper and this can be up to eight weeks or so.
