Wound Healing ***Trigger***

Posted by SandyWeb on July 11, 2004, at 15:59:57

I wasn't sure where to post this question.

Does anyone have experience with recovering from a wound to the wrist?

Has anyone had adhesions from it? I keep working my wrist, and there's a horrible tearing and burning sensation underneath the wound. I assume this is adhesions?

I see my p-doc next week and can always ask him at that time, but I thought I would pose the question to you guys.

Take care!

Sandy

Certainly could be adhesions or scar tissue formation. There is so much connective stuff there with tendons and ligaments and the like healing could be a bit complicated. Talk with your pdoc about it and he could refer you to someone who could be of help for correct mending of that area. I'm hoping you are on the mend in all ways and you get this problem with your wrist worked out & that won't be a problem for you in the future --- care for yourself.

Thank you so much for your kind response.

The stitches were taken out about 3 weeks ago, and I'm left with a very fat and ugly scar going right down between the two tendons.

I will ask my p-doc about adhesions when I see him next. It's only after I haven't used my wrist for a bit that it feels like the skin is sticking underneath the wound. And then it feels like it is tearing and burning when I work it out. The price to pay for a trip to the other side of the veil.

Take care of yourself.

Sandy

"The price to pay for a trip to the other side of the veil."

I understand despair.
You'll be in my prayers.
Good thoughts to you.
