I was perscribed Trileptal as a mood stabilizer last week. It seems to be working great. I am already experiencing positive results with it. I am still ramping up on the dosage so don't know what I will be at in the end. Just curious if any one has ever used this for mood stabilizing? If so what was your experience? Thanks for your replies!

When I doubled my dose to 1200 mg a day last weekend after 5 days at 600 mg, I was amazed at how my year-long agitation just disappeared. Trileptal works better than Ativan for me. I’m bipolar I and haven’t been this calm in a long time.

been on it for about three months and i noticed a change fairly quickly. Haven't seen a hint of hypomania/dysphoria since, no real sidefx that i could notice. For me this MS worked real well.

Thank you for the responses. I have had just about zero agitation this week. It is so great. I am so glad to have this medication as my mood stabilizer. I haven't had any side effects either. It's just been amazing. I'll post in a couple of weeks to let people know how its going and if anything has changed.
