I heard it is known to cause liver failure.
Is it a CNS stimulant? i heard it takes 2 weeks to start working. Is it similar to Amphetamine in effects on nervous system, or does it act similar to an anti-depressant.
Can someone give me some more indepth info if possible, because i was thinking of mentioning it to my doctor, because adderall really isnt effective.

Cylert (pemoline) is a weak stimulant compared to Adderall or Ritalin and is only a Schedule IV controlled substance, whereas the other two are Schedule II. It doesn't seem to be used much anymore because while it has less abuse/dependency potential than the Schedule II stimulants, it is also less effective and can cause liver failure; although, this is apparently relatively rare.Todd
