Paraesthesia side effect, what is basis?

Posted by DissTired on May 16, 2004, at 16:51:48

Hello,

I take strattera and have developed some paraesthesias. It may or may not have to do with the med, as they did not completely stop after stopping the med for 1 week. An MRI was clean, so it is unlikely to be MS or a serious disease.

So, I was wondering what happens to cause paraesthesia? If there were actual nerve damage, might it take more than a week to clear up?

I guess I'd just like to know why a medicine would have such as SE, and if the effect could be lastng.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, I'd like to know too. I didn't see your post before asking roughly the same question below. These tingly sensations are very annoying.

Do you take strattera, or do you have this SE from another drug? I think SSRIs can cause them too.

Either way, its nice to know I'm not the only one. My ear has not stopped tingling for a long time now, and there are some new tingling/burning areas that come and go as well. Mainly my feet.
