Benzodiazepines~how they work and how to withdraw

"Benzodiazepines: How they work, and how to withdraw"
Absolutely fascinating book (available free and in its entirety online) by UK Professor C Heather Ashton - that offers detailed strategies for withdrawing from various Benzodiazepines.

I found this resource and thought someone might benefit from it....

indeed, benzos are a curse and a cure. don't now about the lit you cite, but in general, we are talking about regulating chloride flux in gaba a and b subunits. this is a class of proteins called ligand gated ion channels (LGICs) and the GABA one(s) are hit hard by benzos and mildly by others. be wary, you need to evaluate binding affinities, contraindications, and the fact that alprazolam (xanax) is *not* a true 1,4 substituted benzo and has documented antidepressant activity.......many thanks for the heads-up, and best wishes, chemist

I don't take them. I posted it because occasionally someone has questions and I thought it would be a good resource for them. I know how they work. Thanks anyway.
