I have been on 10 mg Lexapro for 5 months and just over the past week have started to feel VERY depressed, anxious and BLAH again. The Lex was woking fine before. I am hesitant to take a higher dosage.....when does it stop?? Will I eventually be up to 30 mgs and poop out on that? I guess I'd rather deal with the poop out now if that is going to be the case. Has anyone successfully gotten off these meds less depressed that before they went on? I don't want to take them my whole life. :(

Take it easy, there's lots of things that could be happening besides the meds pooping out.
Pay close attention to your life and check if anything has changed.
Count the hours you're sleeping and make sure they're enuf.
Make sure you're taking the same amount and type of vitamins you were before.
Watch your diet, make sure you haven't changed anything big (breakfast going from cerael to donuts, for example).

Not much has changed in my life....diet, stress, everything has been rather constant. I have been feeling a slight decline in my ability to deal for a few weeks and the past few days I feel like I have bottomed out. This is what makes me think it is the meds, it the the all too famaliar feeling of depression creeping in, like a huge weight on my chest.
